Letter of Guarantee and Commitment
The Letter of Guarantee and Commitment must be presented before the containers are moved, and is an essential requirement for the release of the Delivery Authorization (Delivery Order).
We ask you to strictly follow the instructions for preparing this letter.
Any documentation that does not meet the established requirements will be rejected without exception.
The Letter of Guarantee and Commitment must be presented by the consignee of the Bill of Lading, whose name or company name must exactly match the one indicated in this Letter.
The terms of the Letter of Guarantee and the amounts for demurrage or replacement of equipment indicated therein shall apply to shipments received on vessels arriving on or after January 1, 2025, or loaded at origin until December 31, 2024 (as indicated in the Bill of Lading), both inclusive.
INSTRUCTIONS
1. SUBMIT IN ORIGINAL , on letterhead indicating company name, address and telephone number.
2. COMPLETE the highlighted fields, without modifying the letter text, indicating the consignee's name and full details, and any other required details. Handwritten letters will not be accepted.
3. SIGN by the legal representative or agent of the consignee on each of the pages presented, with the notary's seal on each page and at the junction of the even and odd pages.
4. CERTIFY the signature only by a notary public , without exception. The signatory must indicate their status and prove they are the legal representative or attorney of the consignee. Letters signed by customs brokers or other agents or representatives of the importer will not be accepted. Certifications must be legalized by the respective notary public, except those issued in the City of Buenos Aires or Greater Buenos Aires.
